You forgot to put the link for further info on cargo net! Nice channel, though!
🎀 Cargo Nets 🎀 http://igkt-solent.co.uk/cargo-net/ there is some additional information on cargo nets.
Thank you for this tutorial. I tried to learn this knot a few years ago and was never able to grasp it. The way you demonstrate it made so much more sense to me and now I have it! Seeing it tied the same way 4 times also helped. The cargo net idea is cool too. Thank you very much! I find your channel very helpful.
Looking forward to seeing how to complete this as I have an elastic cargo net, forward, in my boat (under my bow) that I use for general storage, that has deteriorated over time with sun and salt water. I should be able to get thick enough venetian blind cord for the job, so bring on part 2 please! Warmest Regards. Garry Thomas
You could even make a string bag for shopping
This is a great tutorial = Question: Would you suggest using a separate rope for each column and row consecutively? Thanks for sharing. A cargo net is a handy thing to have when camping or transporting gear on a truck or canoe / boat. Stay well my friend ~ matt
thank you very much sir for this tutorial.. may God bless you
I believe Geoffrey Budworth likes to call this knot a "square knot" to confound Americans who use that term for the reef knot. He recommends it for a fancy way of tying a cravat or dressing gown cord.
Anxious to see the full video on making the net. My interest now is how you would finish the perimeter or do you just leave the loops alone
Eagerly awaiting your follow-up video showing the rest of the net-making process. I'm curious how the whole thing works, is it only the two different ropes? If so, how do they get tied off at the end?
Thank you very much for this video. It was so helpful for me. I haven' t been able to make a climbing net for my kids for several years. Now it is done💪😀Wish you all the best!🏵🏵🏵
To much detaill, i thing if you just doit. But thank for teaching
For more on the "Japanese Crown Knot" (in isolation) see http://chineseknotting.org/cross/
धन्यवाद व आत्मीय आभार ।
Very useful knowledge.. thank you for sharing
I'm not finding much under "crown knot" except for the decorative end of rope knot. I'd be curious to hear any comparison of this to the carrick bend in usage. I like that this knot keeps the down lines down and the cross lines horizontal. Is it as strong? Slip? Weakens rope more, etc… ?
I appreciate the details. Awesome video!
Without seeing what is going on out of the shot… this vid is useless…
a fair demonstration, much appreciated.
A pair of interlocking S curls form each knot.
Great tutorial mate. Easy, simple to follow instructions.G'day from Australia 🇦🇺
My brothers are going to hate me. So many possibilities

Is it just me or does this guy sound very much like Monty Python's Eric Idle?
Neat little knot. I think I'll give this a go meself!
This is the true purpose of YouTube.
Agony watching and listning to this fool. 2.30 before anything gets done. Blah blah puke.Blah blah blah puke puke blah.
fuck! Time to buy a net.
Visually and audibly very efficient and clearly moderated. I could follow easily… as a German. 5 stars from my side
Very interested in bringing the cordage back on itself and create knots as we're going along as you said at 11:10. Show us more! Is it possible to do a net with these kind of knots from a single cordage? Thumbs up as always and great explanations.

Mucho bla bla bla
knot bad lol thanks I really appreciate this and I will look forward to future videos . I make bracelets and have some rigging experience
Hello and thanks for the video. My question would be : how do i calculate how much meters/yards of rope needed to realize a 1.10mt x 1.90mt cargo net? Oh and how can i loop up the working ends as you started in the vid.
If you mute and double the playback speed, these videos become far easier to follow.
i'm making a cargo net for my pet rats they better appreciate all the hard work i'm putting into this but they probably won't
Thank you so much .

Nice video, very easy to follow.
Are you going to make a video on how to make the cargo net?
The crown knot is cool. The links lead to vague information and bring you back to youtube. IT geeks call this a tight loop.
Excellent video. The repetition actually helps a lot.
* NIcely done
I would love to build a cargo net for the grandkids to play on on their jungle gym.
Good video, but every time you made a bight you called it a loop. Different things. But good video, thanks.
Do you have any information you can share on the method of how to make the strand come back around like you mentioned?

Thanks for teaching me how to do this. I really appreciate it! Greetings from Cancun, Mexico.
It would be instructive if you showed a grid the crosses numbered showing the sequence tying the knots.
A lot of talking
GREAT VIDEO !! How much rope would you need to make a 10 ft X 10 ft net ?
Thank you. You do the good demonstrate.
Your instructions are excellent, especially for a knot that is this complicated!
Gonna make one to cover 53’ long, 14’ high, 8’ wide flatbed trailer. I’m gonna need a lot of rope 😏
