After you have configured a data connection, you can connect to it by tapping the Browse button, tapping the connection list at the top of the screen, and then selecting the connection from the list. Documents can be displayed as thumbnails, or in a list view You can also tap the sort icon to sort documents by author, modification date, title, or document type, in ascending or descending order. There is also an option to show only the documents that have been downloaded to the device. Documents may be assigned to categories on the data server. Tap Browse to view the list of document categories. When All Reports is selected, the list includes documents from all categories. Here you can see that the Banking category contains a single document. To see information about a document, including the owner and document type, tap the arrow icon. Notice that there’s also an “Add to device” button here. This enables you to save the document locally, allowing you to receive notifications when it is updated, assign it to a local category, and open it in offline mode if supported. You can also download a document by tapping the download button beside it in the list, or, when you are viewing a document, by tapping the settings icon and tapping download in the toolbar . Once a document has been downloaded, a blue checkmark appears beside it. You can change the category of a downloaded document by tapping the arrow icon and then tapping Assign Categories. You can create a new category, or assign the document to an existing category, such as Favorites. When you save a document as a favorite, a star appears on its download icon. The document can now be found in the favorites list. SAP BusinessObjects Mobile also enables you to search for documents. Tap search and enter a title keyword to find matches. As you type, the application immediately returns matches in the document category you are currently viewing. To search all of the document categories on the server, tap Search on Server. To delete a downloaded document, tap info, and then tap Remove from device. You now know how to search for and manage documents in SAP BusinessObjects Mobile.
