Your Reporting Tools Overview


So as a Roadside client, how do you know what we’re actually doing for you – and even more so, how do you know HOW your business is doing? Enter reports that are easy to understand, that you can expect on a regular basis! In this short video, We’re going to introduce your main reporting tools and the data that you can expect to find in them. SEO REPORT: since the majority of our clients require ongoing SEO work, You can probably expect to receive the SEO work report. In this report, You’ll see three sections: technical SEO work, on-page SEO work, miscellaneous work – and a summary of the work we completed in each area, throughout the last three months. This work summary will be created by your own SEO Technician and will cover the unique work they did for YOUR website. If you also have a content budget, your SEO report will include additional notes on the work we completed for your content. You will receive this report four times a year, at the end of each quarter. SOCIAL REPORT: If you have a content marketing or social package budget, you’ll also receive a social report at the end of each quarter. In this report, you’ll see your cross channel engagement totals, changes, and specifics for Facebook, Google My Business, and Instagram. RANKING REPORT: Your Ranking Report is a customized report that will be automatically emailed to you monthly. In it, you’ll see the top keywords we’re currently tracking and working on, and how your business is ranking for them both locally and organically. If you would like to track other keywords, please just let us know! GOOGLE MY BUSINESS & FACEBOOK REPORT: Your Google My Business and Facebook report is another customized report that will be automatically emailed to you monthly. In it, you’ll see insights from your Google My Business listing, Google Maps listing, and Facebook account. These will help you to see how your business is doing in areas such as the number of people who visited your website, requested directions, and even called you … and for Google My Business, you’ll be able to see the number of views in search, and on map. For Facebook, you’ll see the total views, and how many people have clicked the action button. Plus, you’ll be able to quickly see if your numbers have gone up or down since your last report. GOOGLE ANALYTICS: You’ve probably heard of Google Analytics, and this report is a great way to easily check on how your website is doing at any time … Just visit your link to see the key metrics we’re watching – all compiled from the previous month. With this report, you can see which channels are driving engagement, and even the age, gender, and location of your visitors. You can also learn the number of users, sessions, pageviews, bounce rate and more! And, if you want to dig deeper into Google Analytics, You can log in to your dashboard. If you need help, just reach out to your Account Manager, or read our blog entitled “Google Analytics Made Easy!” GOOGLE ADS REPORT: if you’re running Google Ads, you’ll also receive a link that you can visit any time to see your latest data. Here, you’ll see your click-through rate and impressions, the cost per click, your top keywords, and which devices your visitors are using. So to recap, you’re receiving these new user-friendly reports to accomplish two things: #1: To help with clear communication on what Roadside is working on for you, and #2: To make sure we all have a strong focus for the next quarter, since we strive to make your business marketing goals better and better, each and every quarter. In using your reporting tools, we recommend that you log in and review your stats at least twice a year – especially in conjunction with your quarterly review meetings in April and October. Our clients love these meetings since it gives us all strong direction on what to focus on for the next 3-6 months. At these meetings, we’ll discuss your own Competitor Analysis and you’ll also receive our recommendations that will best help your SEO. When reviewing your reports, remember that’s going to take at least 3-6 months to really start seeing a pattern. If you’re implementing new content, or another marketing effort, you should start to see some immediate changes – while the vast majority of organic results will take at least 3-6 months.
